The Valley Railroad Company offers trips along the valley of the Connecticut river, many in combination with a boat tour on the river.

At Essex station we could walk around a New York Central diesel engine, while the steam locomotive was prepared for the departure of the train.

The train is ready for departure now and leaves Essex.

The train arrives at Deep River Landing where the boat is waiting for its passengers.
