The occasions when I brought Carola to Frankfurt for one of her
business trips were always useful to take pictures from the visitor's
deck of the airport.
Carola's flight was on a Boeing 747. It is pushed back from the docking site in the left and middle picture and taxiing to the runway at the right.
Cleared for takeoff, the big jet is accelerating and lifts into the air. In the middle picture you can see that Lufthansa had Boeing 727 machines at that time. At the right, one of the first 747-400 with winglets is docked.
