The new station building was completed in 1998, and it impressed us by its architecture and magnitude. The pictures show a view on the building from Kyoto Tower and the northern entrance.
Escalators join the different levels, where offices, restaurants, a big department store and a hotel have been arranged.
In the upper levels you can change between the different parts of the building on footbridges. .
In the evening hours the building is still an attraction for many visitors.
