Ho'okipa Beach Park near Paia is perhaps the most famous place for windsurfers in the world, and there are also surfers in the eastern part of the bay.

Windsurfers don't seem to get up very early. It was about 11 a.m. when it filled up. The combination of board and sail in the right picture was unusual, but it worked fine.
