Seating in the Eurocopter

Usually, when you book a helicopter flight at one of the companies, you will be asked for your body weight. When the flight is completely booked, you are seated in a way that balances the load of the helicopter. Our company had this job done by a computer program. The Eurocopter A-Star had three seats in front, the right of these for the pilot, and four seats in the rear, and due to the really big windows, you have a pretty view from any of these seats. It is, however, practically impossible to take unobstructed pictures from the left one of the middle seats in the rear. The problem is not so critical for Carola and me, as it is usually satisfying if one of us can take the pictures. But if you are alone and are eager to make pictures, you should try to make sure at booking time that you get one of the four window seats in this type of Eurocopter.

We had a different situation an Kaua'i, where we flew in a Bell helicopter. It had three rows with two persons on the front and middle row and three on the rear seats, so there was only one middle seat. I sat with the pilot in front and even had a small hole in the window to put the lens through, so it could not have been better.
